Privacy Policy

TaskFling is built to work entirely on your device. The tasks you create, your task groups, your focus sessions, your stats, your profile name and avatar, and your settings are stored in a local database on your phone. This information is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the App.

We do not collect personal data through the App. Specifically:

• No account is required. You do not sign up, log in, or provide an email address, phone number, or name to us to use TaskFling.
• Content you create stays local. Task titles, descriptions, priorities, durations, due dates, groups, focus sessions, streaks, and any profile name or avatar you set are written to on-device storage only.
• No analytics or advertising SDKs. The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry libraries that profile you.
• No location, contacts, camera, or microphone access is used to collect data about you.

Because your data stays on your device, it is used only to make the App work for you — to display your tasks, run Focus Mode timers, calculate your stats and streaks, and remember your preferences. We never see this information.

Your data lives in the App's local storage on your device and is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, and OS sandboxing that keeps other apps from reading TaskFling's data). Because we never receive your data, there is no server-side database of yours for us to lose or leak.

The trade-off of an on-device design is that you are responsible for your own backups. If you uninstall the App, switch devices without a transfer, or clear the App's storage, your tasks and history may be permanently lost. We cannot recover them for you because we never had a copy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data, because the App does not send us any. We do not disclose your information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

TaskFling is distributed through the Google Play Store. When you download or use apps, Google may collect certain information (such as download counts, crash diagnostics you choose to share with Google, and device data) under Google's own Privacy Policy. That processing is governed by Google, not by us, and is independent of the App's own behaviour described above. If you enable system-level crash reporting on Android, aggregated crash data may be made available to us by Google in a form that does not include the contents of your tasks.

TaskFling is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the App does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Since your data never leaves your device, you already have direct and complete control over it. You can view, edit, or delete any task, group, or session at any time inside the App, and you can erase all of your data by deleting it in-app or uninstalling the App. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or similar laws), you may have additional rights of access, correction, and erasure — all of which you can exercise yourself directly on your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App changes — for example, if an optional cloud-sync or backup feature is ever added. If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, describe the change in the App or its store listing. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
